A distanza di poco tempo sempre la Pepsi si rende protagonista di un'analoga vicenda: per promuovere un nuovo energy drink (AMP Energy) produce un'applicazione per l'Iphone in cui si suggeriscono frasi per rimorchiare le ragazze. Come da copione, anche in questo caso il pubblico boccia sonoramente l'iniziativa accusando di sessismo la Pepsi. E sempre come da copione, anche in questo caso la Pepsi chiede scusa attraverso Twitter.

La vicenda della Pepsi dimostra, se mai ce ne fosse ancora bisogno, come ormai la competitività di un'azienda si misuri anche sulla sua conoscenza dei social network e sulla sua capacità di gestire le crisi utilizzando questi strumenti. Con i social network oggi si parla a chi e come si vuole in tempo reale.
